Internet Marketing Tips - Email Signatures

Hopefully by now, you’ve taken advantage of creating a Facebook fanpage to help promote your business. If not, please take a moment to read last week’s post, because this is an opportunity you definitely don’t want to miss.

This week’s tip is going to show you how you can take your new Facebook fanpage (or even your ma Chatterbox, Twitter or MarketAmerica.com Web Portal address) and create a snazzy email signature to promote your business.

Why should you create an email signature?
  • Email signatures add credibility and make you look more professional
  • They allow you to share something you’re passionate about
  • It’s free promotion – why not?
Examples of bad email signatures:
  • Mary has a website, she also has Facebook fanpage for her business. She lists her email signature as:
    • Mary
      I’m on Facebook
  • Why this is bad: plain, readers don’t know she has a business or even a website, missing important contact information.
  • Bob just got his Market America web portal!
  • Why is this bad: he is missing his web portal address and contact information.
  • Jamie Lynn has a Market America web portal and is promoting earning cashback
    • Jamie Lynn
      Market America.com – Independent Distributor
Seach, Shop, Save, Share – ask me how to earn cashback!
  • Why this is bad: Jamie has a lot of great information, all she needs to do is add in her web portal address and contact information.
Examples of good email signatures:
  • Mary has a website, she lists her email signature as:
    • Mary Chapin
      http://www.marycontrary.com
      Become a fan: http://www.facebook.com/marycontrary
      Contact me: (336) 605-0040
  • Why this is good: she includes her website address, she has added her full name so people know who they are talking to, she has promoted the fact that she has a Facebook fanpage, she has listed her contact number.
  • Bob just got his Market America web portal!
  • Why is this good: he has included his web portal address along with a nice tagline to get people to ask questions. He has also given people a way to either reach him via email, through his web portal or by phone.
  • Jamie has a Market America Web portal:
  • Why is this good: Jamie has included her web portal address, she has indicated she is an Independent Distributor of MarketAmerica.com. She has also included an approved tagline denoting you can earn cashback. In addition, Jamie has shared her ma Chatterbox account so that she can reach new prospects. She also has a Facebook fanpage setup for her business so that she can properly promote her MarketAmerica.com web portal and has even setup a Twitter page to gain more followers and more potential leads for herself. Overall, she has an enticing signature that will get people to ask her questions and to contact her to learn more.
Since there are a number of email programs – and they all create signatures a little differently, if you need help creating your own email signatures, please send an email to
internetmarketing@marketamerica.com along with which email program (Gmail, MSN, Yahoo,
Outlook, etc…) that you would like to create an email signature for.

Sincerely,
