Keeping Outside Pets Warm

Unless you are lucky enough to be sunning away on some tropical island, or you live south of the equator, the cold weather has arrived. To top it off we have been drowning in rain for the past week in North Carolina.

As much as we complain about the weather outdoor animals are far more vulnerable to the climate’s harsh conditions. However there are a few precautions we can take to ensure our outside pets are keep warm and comfortable.

Turnout Blankets for Horses– These are wonderful and very durable. You can buy a lightweight, mid weight, and even heavy weight depending upon the temperature and they even protect against wind and rain.

Dog Houses – Most dog houses are made with all weather construction to protect your pet against the elements. You can even find cute houses to match your house or look good in your yard.

K&H Mfg Lectro Soft Heated Outdoor Dog Pad – This pad can be used indoors or outdoors in a covered shelter to keep your outdoor pet snuggly and warm during cooler temperatures.

Dog/Cat Doors – These can be put on a door or a garage door so that your animals can come inside when the weather gets bad.
