Voitel® & Internet Access

Hi Market America and Voitel® Listeners...
'Yes' it is official!! Market America and Voitel have finally struck up a partnership with a DSL provider so that we can bring you Voitel Internet Access!

We launched this new Internet offering in St. Augustine this past weekend and quite a few of you took advantage of the event special, which included a free modem.

I mentioned that our Internet Access website would be 'live' by the end of the week and that you would be able to go to www.voitelinternetaccess.com and enter your phone number to check for availability and/or review our footprint for coverage. We are still finalizing the funtionality of our website so please keep checking back.

We are also making changes to the ma portal so that finding Voitel solutions is more intuitive. Simply go to your ma portal, click on the 'Telecommunications' category and then choose Digital Home Phone Service, Wireless Service and/or Internet Access. Look for this to be 'live' by the 1st of next week.

I like wireless broadband and use it exclusively as my home Internet access. I'm looking forward to switching to Voitel. My question is, since wireless doesn't use a modem or router, will there be a way to set up the Voitel home phone service to work with wireless broadband access?

Its wonderful the we can provide Voitel wireless access, but the aren't priced competitively! We need to renegotiate. For example, Voitel offers 250mb per month at $67.99/mo and $0.40/meg for overage. Verizon is $39.99 and .10 for overage! Why would anyone make the switch? As much as I want to use Voitel, it makes no sense to do so.

I had not considered a buy-out as an option for switching to Voitel Internet Access but it seems reasonable that I should explore those possibilities. Let me do some work and get back to you. Just for my edification---what would AT&T charge you to cancel your contract? Are you on a 'triple-play' of any sort? Regards,

'Yes' please keep checking back at www.voitelinternetaccess.com for availability in your area. As you know our Internet service is via DSL and Comcast is cable. In my experience, some neighborhoods offer one or the other. The developers strike contracts with Internet providers and unfortunately those Internet providers have 'exclusivity' rights to your service. I have my fingers crossed though so please keep checking back on our website for DSL service availability in your area.
