Good Morning Joedy...thanks so much for reaching out to me. With regard to your question about competing with Skype.I love a good challenge so here goes;
Do you use Skype?
While both Voitel and Skype are VoIP applications that convert analog signal to digital so you can make calls over the Internet, Skype is a little more expensive to make those Skype to land line calls then Voitel. Our plans start at $24.95 and Skype is around $29.99.
Even though Skype does not require additional equipment like an ATA and/or router, it should not be used to replace your Home Phone Service. Skype should be used as a supplement to Home Phone Service. The reason behind this methodology is 911. You cannot call 911 from Skype.
Market America puts the end-user first. We care about your safety and we will not (as a good business practice) deliver even good old VoIP Home Phone Service if you do not qualify for 911 coverage.
Let me do some more homework though. Market America is always interested in exploring suggestions. Let me see if we have anything on the horizon that resembles Skype that can be used in conjunction with Voitel Home Phone Service.
In summary, while the two look the same there are many differences, all the way down to the protocol, the software and the hardware required to make calls. Please consider using Voitel as your Home Phone Service Provider and use Skype as a supplement to our service. Voitel is committed to bringing new solutions to those of you out there but replacing our Home Phone Service with something like Skype would compromise your safety.

Jamie,
We signed up for home service at the MA convention. We still have nothing. I have called twice and still nothing. We have been billed for 2 months of service but still nothing. No communications from any one. They promise something will be done but still nothing. Please respond as to how I can resolve this. Is service always this difficult to obtain?

How does one address the issue for those in the country - outlying areas that do not have cable and rely on DSL, Dish and DirectTV. How does this service become financially economical. I look forward to your response.

Jamie,
We also signed up for the service at world conference and received nothing, just wondering what happened.

I have been with the company for about a year now and while I am paying $29.00 a month. I am not happy with the service when it comes to making a overseas call. I did not know I had to pay seperatly. Each time I make a overseas call my service is suspended. They then charge me $10 or $11 dollars, which they took out of my account each time. My bank account has been bill about three times in one month. so please explain to me how does that work. When I am with AT&T I receive one bill each month.

Would be possible Market America to stop partnership with Voitel? What about Market America change the partnership to AT&T and/or Verizon Phone Services? To ensure the customers satisfaction. Instead of MA customers are having issues with Voitel Service.

Market America Corporate Team and Telecommunication team knows that AT&T has the fastest 3G Network in USA,best phone service, Best Satellite TV and Internet Service. Verizon has also great service especially on reception on their network.

I signed up for Voitel Home service at MA World Conference also. I've had some serious issues with it... I couldn't get my existing number, for some reason. My family that lives in the same town have found that my new number is now long distance... I live in a rural town in PA, my town isn't even in Voitel's database, nor are any surrounding towns. I also had serious problems getting the service to work and had an independent computer specialist to my home three times to help me get set up, eventually had to get a different router. It was really a pain and I feel that I don't want to recommend this service to potential customers because it has been such a hassle for me... if I didn't get IBV, I would have said forget it long ago!

HI. We've signed up for home and wireless service. The wireless service does lack a bit. I was told at convention we could use any Verizon phone, so I bought the Blackberry Storm.. I call up to change it with Voitel and they tell me sorry.. its not usable! Turns out that the Iphone ended up being the next best thing for me and I bought it and signed with ATT :(

Hi Everything247...good morning...
Thanks for your inquiry because it is a good question/concern. Voitel is supported by DSL as well as cable. Do you have DSL Internet Service? Did you need technical support with your DSL and the ATA (device). It is a 'plug & play' turn-key solution but sometimes technical issues do come up. Let me know.
Unfortunately we are not supported by satellite Internet Service. This may change in the future but right now we are at the mercy of the limitations of the technology. I can go into greater detail about the limitations if you would like to listen.
Please send an email to VoitelQ&A@marketamerica.com if I can help further.

Hi Anonymous #2...good morning...

Let me get with our fulfillment house and make sure they are sending these out in a reasonable amount of time. I apologize for the delay in getting this to you. Can you please call the help desk at 866-Voitel-5 and ask them to track the progress for you?

Hi Anonymous #3...good morning...
Congratulations on your success on understanding how to use your Home Phone Service overseas. Let me ask you this---are you making calls to countries other then the US when you are overseas? If so then there would be an origination and termination charge associated with that call. Please keep in mind that you can only call back to US free of charge. Other countries are billed by the minute.
I am really impressed with how you are using this though. How do you feel about the call quality when you are overseas? It doesn't sound like it, but did you need technical support?
Also, I did not realize you were being billed more than once a month for long distance calls. It sounds like something I need to work on. Let me do some more homework on how we are billing you guys and get back to you.
Please email me at VoitelQ&A@marketamerica.com if I can help further.

Hi Anonymous #4...good morning...
I forget passwords, user ID's, etc., all the time, so please don't feel alone. Did you try the help desk @ 866-Voitel-5?
Are you trying to log into the Voitel Dashboard to get your voicemails and account information? That sounds like a reasonable request---logging in with your email address. Let me do some more homework on that functionaility and get back to you.
Please email me at VoitelQ&A@marketamerica.com if I need to help you retrieve your account number. I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Anonymous #5...good morning...
Thanks for your inquiry about Voitel's partnership with our mobile carrier. What kind of problems are you having with your Voitel Wireless Phone? We are increasing our mobile footprint every day so please tell me it is not network coverage.
Voitel is 'powered' by a primary mobile network provider. This partnership grants us access to the largest mobile network for local & long distance calling. Let me see if I can make some sense of how a few telecom partnerships work. The underlying mobile carrier and their infrastructure in this case is someone you referenced at the bottom of your comment. You've seen their commercials and probably laughed at a few of their 3G marketing angles.
I am encouraged at your knowledge of these carriers 'claims to fame' though---but please let me assure you that Voitel is supported by the best in network capacity.
Please email me at VoitelQ&A@marketamerica.com if I can help further.

Hi Anonymous #6...good morning...
'Yes' the router issue needs to be addressed and thank you for bringing it to my attention. I think I need to do a 'white paper' on this so please look for something from me on this topic soon.
Let me first start by saying 'thank-you' for using Voitel Home Phone Service.
I am sorry to hear that your new VoIP number is now a long distance number to your local friends and family. Is it possible to get them on Voitel's Home Phone Service too so all your calls are free?
Regardless, let me see if I can make some sense of this one too.
Market America & Voitel is dedicated to your safety with regard to providing E911 service (that is associated with your phone number)to your physical address.
Our VoIP partner has access to a 'pool' of phone numbers that can be validated by our 911 service provider. I hate it...but...your prior number must not have been in our 911 database with Intrado. We are increasing that 'pool' of phone numbers every day though and although that does not help you now---I am glad to know that the IBV is at least a concession.
Please reach out to me at VoitelQ&A@marketamerica.com if I can help further.

Hi Anonymous #7...good morning...
Thanks to you as well. Voitel is so very appreciative of all our business partners and it is my intention to provide as much information about Voitel services so that everyone feels they can sell this service. I also wanna make sure everyone knows enough about the underlying technology that dictates how we can do business so that we are all 'dangerous'.
Are you coming to any of the upcoming events? This 'compatible' wireless phone claim needs to be addressed with some clarity and I intend on doing just that. I have designed my presentation for the main stage to help clarify some of the common misconceptions.
For instance, I hate that you were told that we can support all Verizon/Motorola phones. Or was it acceptable that we said we could support all Blackberry's. That was not explained very well and let me apologize on behalf of Voitel. Let me help some more, just like AT&T purchased the iPhone to be compatible with their network, we have purchased the right to use certain phones on our network. The Storm is on the horizon but we are not there just yet.
Please tell me this---Are you saying that we lost you to AT&T and the iPhone? What can I do to support your decision to come back to Voitel? I will buy out that AT&T contract up to $100 and/or give you a compatible phone if that helps persuade you to 'roll-out' Voitel as your mobile carrier. I can tell you that our Network coverage and clarity with regard to call quality and reliability is the best---the best I tell you. And we are always adding new phones to our list. We did not support ANY Blackberry's six months ago and look at us now.
Let me know what it would take to get you back over. We want you to earn commission for doing your day-to-day activities and Voitel does that very thing.
Please email me at VoitelQ&A@marketamerica.com if I can help further.

Jamie Kennington
