A sticky Portal is a good Portal

So Marc's on stage, sharing news & updates for the marketamerica.com Portal. He asks that we type in "internet shopping websites" on Google and see what happens. So I did. Here's what happened:

Feels good to be #1, huh?

I typed in "internet shopping websites" and on goggle.ca Market America was no where to be found.

Then I went to google.com and typed the same search in and Market America was #9 on the list.

Why would that happen?

Not sure, anonymous. I just re-ran the search on google.com & MA was still #1, just like this morning.

(obviously, we make no claims for results on "goggle.ca", lol)

A UFO sitting near me ran the same search on his iPhone, and Market America was actually 3rd on the SERP. That shouldn't be. But we're wondering if it has something to do with the iPhone Google app - very much a new and emerging technology; it may not be a perfect mirror of Google.com? (that's our guess)

But otherwise, no explanation for why it's not showing up as high on your page. Send me a screen grab if you can, that's peculiar...

Thanks,
Andrew

The only thing is that nobody searches on google internet shopping websites as a keyword...

The closest keyword someone searches is - shopping websites but that only is 45 searches a day on Google...not as much I guess. Plus Market America portal does not come up.

Go to SEOBook.com and try yourself.

An advice to Market America internet marketing experts - try to get Market America position number 1-3 on - online shopping just because that has ove 1700 searches a day and would have a huge impact on Market America company...

But I congratulate MA for trying...

All the best,
Brett

All this is doing is getting an exact match on "internet shopping websites". Go try and do "internet shopping website" and see what you get. The fact that it comes up number 1 the first time has nothing to do with sales or popularity; it is just how search engines work. This is a very poor demonstration and is misleading to the non-savvy people that think Market America is even close to being "number 1" in regards to internet shopping popularity. This feels a bit dishonest, thoughts?
