Market potential for pet care industry

I came across this article today about a pet care company that has grown over 4,000% in the past three years. The Wall Street Journal has placed them in the top 20th percentile of 5,000 fastest growing companies.

The pet care industry is a $43 Billion market. $43 Billion! It is expected to grow to $52 Billion in the next two years. 63% of Americans (71 million households) own a pet. The market share is fantastic.

Imagine the possibilities if we set our minds to it and work hard to take a big piece of the $52 Billion pie. Selling PetHealth™ is easy. If 63% of Americans own a pet, it is a safe bet that 63% of your friends, family members and acquaintances own a pet. There's no need to even focus solely on PetHealth. Six out of every ten people you encounter own a pet, and guess what? If they aren't buying from you, they're buying from someone else.

PetHealth is a brand that you can get behind. Our supplements represent the latest technology available today in pet food supplements. They are designed specifically with your pets in mind. These aren't human supplements with a pet label and they are not knock-offs of other brands. Our science team poured over dozens of clinical studies and pet industry standards to bring your pet the best formulations available.

The Multivitamin Formulas provide your pet with a strong micronutrient foundation to promote optimal health, with a unique formula for cats and a unique formula for dogs. The Multivitamins give you peace of mind knowing that your pets are receiving the key vitamins and minerals necessary for healthy growth and development – and they're designed to coincide with your pet's diet, whether it is a premium or economical pet food. The OPC Formula is designed with OPCs, some of the most potent antioxidants available that are 50 times more powerful than vitamin E and 20 times more powerful than vitamin C. The OPC Formula also contains glucosamine to promote healthy joints and promote the normal regeneration of cartilage. The Cardiovascular Formula for Dogs is designed with coenzyme Q10, L-arginine and L-carnitine that all work synergistically to promote cardiovascular health.

To give you a more complete line, we have partnered with Tails & Company, an industry leading pet care company with over 20 years in the business to bring you great items like dog and cat apparel, pet beds, collars, leashes and more. I have been in the pet industry for many years.. Showing dogs for 20 years and grooming pets for just as many.. I was very excited to put my dogs and other pets on the pet health product.. For being in the industry like human products you have that cupboard full of stuff.. I was nice to find something that produced great results.
What I would like to suggest if I may is.. If you could PLEASE make pet health in a NON beef flavor.. Or any kind of meat flavoring.. a plain would be GREAT!!
I would have more of a client base if I had that option..
Thank you for you time
Health and Happiness to you and your pets!!

Anonymous,
Thank you for your support. We cannot make PetHealth OPC nonflavored. The ingredients found in the formula have a very bitter taste, especially the glucosamine, which dogs will not eat. We've extensively worked with the manufacturer on the flavoring to ensure that it is palatable with dogs (and cats), unfortunately, no matter what type of flavoring we used, we'd make someone unhappy. A non meat based flavoring would more than likely be full of sugars (both natural and artificial) which are not good for pets at all. I am looking at other options, but I can't make any guarantees or provide a time line. Hang in there.

Diane,
Click on "this article" it links to the article I was posting about.

As far as testimonials... I've requested them... unfortunately I can't post 99% of them because they make reference to disease states and pharmaceuticals.

For anyone interested in posting a review for any of our health and nutrition products, I recommend reading the benefits section before writing your testimonial - it will help you to understand the legal way to word things. "Promotes normal energy levels," "Supports cardiovascular health," "Promotes healthy joints," and all that.
