Googling Market America

Real live screenshot taken from a Google search for "Health and Nutrition Products." Look who's number one! (Maybe next time, GNC!)

Is this still a work in progress?

"Health and Nutrition Products brought Market America to the top.

"Anti Aging Products" did not show Market America in the top 300 (that's when I stopped looking).

OPC-3 did not bring Market America to the top either (not including sponsored links).

Getting better rankings is a great idea!

Indeed it is, Richard - we noticed the same thing. It also may reflect the fluid nature of this media: SERPs change daily, weekly, monthly... it's an ongoing battle to stay ahead of competitors, but rest assured our SEO team is already on it.

If you happen to be a techie, you may have also noticed a fair amount of googlebombing in the other two search result pages that may have contributed to the change - we were a little surprised to see how much came back (suggesting it's a recent, and temporary, development which Google will catch and wash out in a few days). We don't condone and would never use such black hat tactics to manipulate search results - our SERP placement is always organic, intuitive and fair. Too bad not everybody plays by those rules...

Thanks!

"Doing it right" is one of the premier things I like about this company.

Cheers.

this was a little disappointing since i found the same as richard when i tried the search a couple of days ago. understand the fluidity of the internet but seems a lot of money was spent for something that may only work for a moment in time. hopefully it will get better.

i am EXTREMELY happy with the ability to comparison shop on the portal and ultimately i think that for me that's more important in getting others to use my portal to shop! and worth every penny spent!!!

thanks MA and Google!

Is the comparison shop on the portal function still a work in progress?

I've tried a few product keywords such as iPod, Garmin GPS, Merrell Moab Women Hiking Boot, etc. and could not get satisfactory results.

For instance, when I googled "Merrell Moab Women Hiking Boot," REI came up at the top. However, when I search Market America with it, REI and EMS did not come up. There may be others that carry the product that I did not know.

Comparison shopping is the right direction. Thanks MA and Google
for the hard work!
