Titans and Ravens Taking Time to Think
As a Nashville, TN native, I have seen how Steve McNair made a big impact and know his lasting impressions will be missed. The 36 year old quarterback who played with the Oilers (’95-‘96) and Titans (’99-‘05), and Ravens (’06-‘07) died on Saturday, July 4, 2009.
To all his teammates, he was known as the “go to guy”. Anything that you asked McNair would do it and with a positive attitude. McNair will be remembered for not only taking the Titans to the 2000 Super Bowl but also for being a leader on and off the field. As an athlete, I’ve been able to relate to McNair as he was an inspiration when it comes to hard work, ethic, determination, dedication, and the will to do whatever it takes to win on and off the field.
While McNair will be greatly missed in the NFL, as well as by family, friends and the local community, he will definitely be remembered by those whose lives he was able to influence. Some of his greatest accomplishments throughout his career included: 174 touchdowns, and 119 interceptions.

As we continue with our everyday activities, don’t forget to “Remember the Titans”.
