It was a good Friday for Market America in the press, with Market America's growth, expansion, and successes featured in the Triad Business Journal (article requires a subscription to read beyond first few paragraphs), CBS News-2 (see video below) and NPR radio (requires a podcasting client).
All three center around the news that when others are laying people off, cutting back hours, or closing all together, Market America is hiring at least 50 new employees by the end of 2009, mostly highly skilled and good paying jobs that are centered around Market America's continued online expansion and product development. Once the new hires are complete, these stories point out that Market America will have increased its workforce by 78 percent since 2007. Additionally, the Triad Business Journal reported on MA Global, a site launching in June that will allow Customer Managers to sell products in markets MA does not currently serve such as the UK and Mexico.
Job creation, financial growth, and expansion of features to Customer Managers and customers led Triad Business Journal columnist Justin Catanoso to declare that Market America is "recession proof" and "on a roll" in the CBS News-2 video. It's nice that the media is starting to listen to what JR has been telling us all along!

Unbelievable!! I have never won the lottery. I don't win too many contests, and now i see why. I have been given the ultimate prize. Another great announcement from Mr. James Ridinger.
Don't get me wrong i know the MA business model works if you work the plan and are willing to put in the hours. If you don't have the right kind of personality for the business you'll just end up working your ass off for your sponsor. It's not for everyone like they lead you to believe!
I have a friend that makes a good of money in MA but since his success he has become very distant to the point where all that matters to him is MA. It's business all the time 24/7 365 with him.
MA, MA, MA....thats all i hear from him...show the plan...kickoffs...seminars.
I'm all for making $$ but not at the cost of abandoning friends and family just because they don't want to be part of your organization. This is what they teach you, seperate yourself from those that don't want to live the MA way.
He is slowly turning into a self centered ass. Although he appears to feel like he's helping the world with the wonderous products MA sells at rediculously high cost.
Re: Anonymous's comments: you clearly identified yourself as the type of person that is routinely disqualified as an individual that lacks the desire to improve their financial situation. MA does not teach their distributors to abandon friends/family who are not interested in the business. We turn those folks into customers! Your friend's enthusiasm for the business is symptomatic of a driven entrepreneur and his apparent success is really bugging you. I say: "get a life", order some tryptophan and chill out. If you feel MA's products are too expensive for your budget, maybe you should look at The Plan with an open mind and learn how to buy MA's quality products at cost.
How do you think i got to this blog in the first place?
I get emails all the time about how great MA is, it's enough to drive a man crazy!!!
I guess this time i just had to get it off my chest anonymously because if i say this to my friend he will likely sever all ties.
I'd rather keep him as a friend because i genuinely care about him, and so i'll just keep on deleting....
We encourage a balanced forum, but posts with personal attacks against individuals will be removed.
I was just going to say the response to this is ridiculous. Its amazing how "anonymous" stated that they teach you to distance yourself from friends and family that don't live the ma way. I am successful with the system and never have I ever been told anything like this. I love how people use such broad terms. I am angry with one person so lets throw dirt at everyone. The statement came from an ignorant mind and if you want to try to state facts, you should know them first. That's really the problem with society today, immediately lets pass judgement when we know little to nothing about the subject. I am sorry you have had such a bad experience but take that up with the person causing the issue. Good luck.
