The ACSM took into account the percentage of residents who smoke, are obese, get regular physical activity, eat at least five servings of fruits and vegetables per day, and have conditions such as diabetes and heart disease -- and they focused on local resources, such as parks, farmers' markets, number of primary health care providers, and crime rates.

Hi Market America & Voitel® Subscribers...good morning...

I think it is important to keep all of you apprised as to the success of Voitel. Voitel is doing very well this year. Our wireless division has seen a steady increase in our user base with every passing Market America Event. We are consistently trending up in the wireless arena and our home phone service is performing just as well.

Despite our positive growth patterns, we are discovering some challenges Voitel has experienced in the past. We are working very diligently at overcoming these challenges and I just want to ask everyone to please keep checking back on the ma blog for updates as to our progress. This is a very exciting time for Voitel and I am certain you will all welcome the changes.

Market America debuted at No. 66 on list. Market America's Web sales in 2008 were $238 million, up 3 percent from 2007. Summer Triple Treat

Summer is my favorite time of the year because of all the movie releases, summer tours and sporting tournaments that take place. I’m already working on my movie list and to avoid the hustle of long lines and risking not getting tickets I use Fandango. Their service is great and for a small price I avoid lines and get the seats I want for my favorite movies. If tickets are not yet available I sign to FanAlert™ and get an email alert that lets me know tickets are available for the movie I want to see in my city. Here’s what’s at the top of my list:

  • Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (Jun 24th)

  • Public Enemies (July 1st)

  • Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (July 15th)

For concerts I use Ticketmaster to check who is touring this summer. One of the coolest events happening is the Rothbury Festival which takes place in Rothbury, MI during July 4th weekend. If you love music, art & theater this is the place to be this summer.

For sports fans summer is a great time. Whatever sport you follow there is a game, race or tournament going on this summer. My favorite sports, soccer and tennis, have an exciting summer schedule. 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifiers are at its peak and team USA is looking to clinch the top spot. On top of that the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup takes place between the 14th and the 28th of June, where the current continental champions will be battling out to give us a taste of what to expect next year for the World Cup. Closing the season is the US Open, my favorite tennis tournament. I’m trying to convince a couple of friends to make the trip to NY for a weekend to enjoy some of the fantastic tennis matches.

Curcumin: It’s Quality over Quantity

A six-month, placebo controlled, double-blind trial in humans found that taking 1 gram of Curcumin BCM-95™ results in much greater blood levels of curcuminoids than consuming 4 grams of curcumin with a meal. 940 ± 920 vs. 120 ± 140 nmol/L. First 2009 Regional Convention A Success!

The first 2009 Regional Convention began with a record crowd in the Northern Region! The weekend was full of excitement, networking, and straight down to business! The Northern Regional Convention was held April 17-19, in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin at the Kalahari Resort & Convention Center. Featured Speakers included Vice President of Training & Field Development, Kevin Buckman, Executive Director and Director of Transitions, Lydia Martinez, and Director of Field Development for marketamerica.com, Todd Laire. All of our speakers did a fantastic job!! Regional Director, Jim Winkler, was a huge driving force for the success of the event as well, along with several Field Leaders who shared their stories and knowledge.

Also, thanks to everyone on the Regional planning committee who helped make this event a success! The planning committee dedicated tremendous amounts of their time to plan this Regional. They also secured volunteers to help with registration, door monitors, you name it! There are so many people that help with our events and we want to tell all of you a big THANK YOU! All of your hard work paid off! We hope that you can continue the momentum from this event and keep building your business.

Spring Cleaning with Snap

If you haven’t started your spring cleaning - don’t worry, Snap™ has you covered! This year, save time and money by using Snap for an eco-friendly spring-cleaning. To make your spring-cleaning a little easier this year, here are some common cleaning jobs with the perfect product to get the job done. Make spring-cleaning a Snap, with the Snap line of cleaning products!

Use Snap™ Disinfectant Cleaner (code: 6213):

For toilet bowls
Flush the toilet, then add 2 oz. of Snap Disinfectant Cleaner directly to the bowl water. Swab the bowl completely using a scrub brush or toilet mop, making sure to get under the rim. Let stand for 10 minutes and flush.

Use Snap™ Heavy-Duty Concentrate* (code: 6207):

To remove grease, oil and rust from carpets
Mix 1 part Snap Heavy-Duty Concentrate to 10 parts water and apply to stain. Let sit for a couple of minutes, then dab with a clean dry cloth. Next, using a damp cloth, gently wipe area until stain is removed.

For cleaning windows and screens
Mix 1 part Snap Heavy-Duty Concentrate to 10 parts water. Using a clean cloth, apply diluted mixture and wipe down windows and screens.

For steam-cleaning carpets
Mix 1 part Snap Heavy-Duty Concentrate to 100 parts water in carpet cleaner. Use carpet cleaner as suggested by manufacturer.

For oven cleaning
Mix 1 part Snap Heavy-Duty Concentrate to 5 parts water. Spray onto surface and wipe out using a clean, damp cloth. Rinse as often as necessary.

For general cleaning and degreasing
Mix 1-2 oz. of Snap Heavy-Duty Concentrate with 12 oz. of water in a spray bottle. Spray onto soiled surface and wipe off with a damp cloth.

For bathroom tile and Formica
Mix 1 part Snap Heavy-Duty Concentrate to 31 parts water. Use a mop or a damp cloth to clean the surface.

For blinds
Mix 1-2 oz. of Snap Heavy-Duty Concentrate with 12 oz. of water in a spray bottle. Spray onto blinds and wipe off with a clean, dry cloth. Rinse cloth as necessary.

Use Snap™ All-Purpose Natural Concentrate* (code: 6209):

For walls, countertops, floors and woodwork
Add ½ fl. oz. of Snap All-Purpose Natural Concentrate to a gallon of water. For walls and countertops, wipe surfaces using a damp cloth. For floors and woodwork, use a mop or a damp cloth to clean the surface.

For mirrors and other glass surfaces
Add 5 drops of Snap All-Purpose Natural Concentrate to a 12 oz. spray bottle. Spray onto surface and wipe off with dry cloth or paper towel.

Use Snap™ Cream Scouring Cleanser* (code: 6211):

For stainless steel, ceramic or porcelain sinks
Squeeze a small amount of Snap Cream Scouring Cleanser onto a sponge or scrub brush to clean surface. Rinse with warm water.

For bathtubs, showers and toilets
Squeeze a small amount of Snap Cream Scouring Cleanser onto a sponge or washcloth to clean surface. Rinse with warm water. For toilets, rinse sponge or washcloth and wipe until clean.

For granite countertops
Squeeze a small amount of Snap Cream Scouring Cleanser onto a sponge or washcloth and wipe until clean.

Use Snap™ Home & Shop Cloth* (code: 6217):

For pewter, gold, chrome, nickel, steel, aluminum, copper, brass, bronze, enamel and ceramic tile
Wipe down surfaces with Snap Home & Shop Cloth

For polishing furniture, removing alcohol, water, ink and heat stains from furniture
Wipe down surfaces with Snap Home & Shop Cloth

Snap Disinfectant Cleaner effective against 2009-H1N1

With the recent outbreak of 2009-H1N1 (a.k.a. in the media as Swine Flu), many of you may be wondering if Snap™ Disinfectant Cleaner (code: 6213) will work against this new strain of flu. The EPA released a statement that any product effective against Influenza A viruses, should also be effective against 2009-H1N1. EPA registered Snap Disinfectant Cleaner (EPA Reg.
